A postpartum doula is a trained professional that provides physical, emotional, and informational support to a new mother and the family after childbirth. The main goal of a postpartum doula is to help the family transition smoothly during the postpartum period. This typically covers the first few weeks to months after the baby is born.

Hi! My name is Emma Warren and I offer postpartum doula services in Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Roanoke, Salem and surrounding areas. I graduated from Roanoke College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a minor in sociology and a concentration in human development. I was drawn to doula work because I have a deep passion for serving families. I grew up babysitting and I knew I wanted to continue to work with families in my career. I have also been a preschool teacher and worked in formal childcare settings. I have worked with moms a non-profit in downtown Roanoke called Huddle Up Moms. I believe in a holistic approach that focuses on the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of both mother and baby. I provide personalized care that is tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each family. I can’t wait to meet you and your family!
Daytime Care $30 an hour
Nighttime Care $40 an hour
When the baby wakes to eat either I can bottle feed them or bring them to you if you prefer to breastfeed. I handle all diaper changes and soothing back to sleep. I will keep track of feeding, diapers, and sleep. I can help with cleaning bottles, dishes, laundry, tidying up etc. if that is something that would be helpful. It is really up to the family of what they prefer me to do!
Considering hiring me? Email me to set up a free consultation zoom or phone call (whichever you prefer!) to see if you think my service would be a good fit for you and your family!
